Grandmother’s Windsor Rocker
Circa 1800
This small rocker was made with a broad seat, and low to the ground so that Grandmother could be close to her Grandchildren as she read to them. The same may be done today. Grandmother sits in her chair, having her grandchildren gathered around while she reads. Since the chair is low to the floor, the children will be able to see the pictcures as grandmother reads. Now, isn't this a delightful idea for a chair?
