This Lancaster County Tall Clock has a
30 hour works made in America with an Osborne Mgf. dial,
around 1820. The Chippendale carved case is in great condition.
The flame finials, fluted columns and corner aids with the Sun certainly complement this handsome clock.
Flower carvings (also called carved floral rosettes) were all used
by a number of the true Pennsylvania clock makers. This clock retains an old finish but not the original. The thirty-hour works, when kept wound, add such serene pleasure to a room.
The hour hand is a second replacement however the
minute hand is original. It retains its original hand painted dial
(un-touched paint) & works to the case. The weight driven chain
works easily for winding.
